The Neco Corporation factory is a factory in Midtown that is powered by an Atomic Battery. The Cat is sent there by Clementine, to retrieve the battery.
While ostensibly a waste processing/recycling plant, the factory does not appear to do very much, other than carry trash to the edge of the wall separating Midtown from the Slums, and dump it down into the lower levels.
The factory is heavily guarded by Sentinels, but they can all be evaded with careful timing, which gains an achievement.
Completing a small sidequest to retrieve the Worker Keys for the Companion called Worker will grant the Neco Badge.
