Momo is a Companion in The Slums in Stray. As a member of the Outsiders, Momo is a central character in the game.
Momo can first be found inside his apartment high up in the Slums, hitting his TV to get better signals or make it work. He is depressed, lonely and concerned about his fellow Outsiders having left him to go to The Outside. He gives the cat his Notebook, not believing that other notebooks will somehow help. Later, when the cat and B-12 bring him all the notebooks of his friends, Momo finds in one of them a note with an equation that allows him to fix the Transceiver which is needed to establish a connection with the upper levels of the city. Fixing it, Momo sends the cat to install it on the Rooftops, and he goes to the bar to use their antenna.
In Chapter 6: The Slums - Part 2, he can instead be found in the Dufer Bar, where he manages to establish a connection with his friend Zbaltazar, who warns him that it's possible to get into a safe zone only by going through the Sewers, which is full of Zurks. Hearing this, Seamus intervenes in the conversation, warning Momo and the cat about the danger of the Sewers before heading home. Momo goes to Seamus's apartment and gives his father's notebook to the cat, then goes back to the bar to catch a connection again.
At the end of Chapter 7: Dead End, Momo is found waiting for the cat and B-12 on a raft in the Sewers Entrance. Then he floats through the Sewers, but at one of the doors he discovers that it can only be opened manually, so it will not open much and will close quickly, which means he will not be able to go through it. Saying goodbye to the cat, he asks to tell his friends that he was brave, because last time he was afraid to go to the Sewers and stayed in the Slums alone.
Trivia
- Momo wears a very long Hawaiian shirt with a "tropical pattern with flamingos" pattern. This may be a reference to the Max Payne videogames, where the protagonist always wore them, even in the snow.
- In the last cut scene, he can be seen wearing a golden hat instead of a straw one - this is a reference to his original design’s hat.

🛈 | Come with me. | |
🛈 | Up there! See that building, high above the others?

🛈 | Be careful it is case sensitive. See you at The Bar! -Momo
🛈 | That must be the code for the window near the entrance. Let's go.
🛈 | Hey! Little furball! | Greeting at bar |
🛈 | Let me see if I can get this thing working.
🛈 | Come here! I managed to get a signal.
🛈 | I've almost got it. | |
🛈 | Hello! Yes we can hear you! We are from the Slums! We're looking for a way out and...
🛈 | Wait, is that you Zbaltazar?
🛈 | I ... I can't believe it. I'm so happy to hear your voice Zbaltazar! Where are you? Are the others okay?
🛈 | Hello? Do you still hear me?
🛈 | Sewers?! How? Hello?!
🛈 | Darn it! We've lost the signal.
🛈 | I can't believe it, Zbaltazar is alive! He and the other Outsiders managed to go up through the sewers? | (other outsiders, plural? There were more than these four?) |
🛈 | The sewers are the most dangerous place in the Slums but if
Zbaltazar made it, there must be a way. |
|
🛈 | ... | |
🛈 | I think you should follow him. He might be able to help us. Good luck, little one.
🛈 | Don't listen to Seamus. He's just scared like I was. If Doc built a weapon, that's our ticket to join the Outsiders!
🛈 | In his notebook, Doc mentioned a secret lab a few times. That must be where he was working on it.
🛈 | There might be a clue in Seamus' apartment. Come on, follow me!
🛈 | Follow me, let's go to Seamus' Flat.
🛈 | Come on Seamus, open the door!
🛈 | You know your father would have wanted to help us.
🛈 | Well, that was to be expected. This situation is pretty tough on Seamus.
🛈 | He doesn't want to hear about the Outsiders anymore. He won't help me, but you…
🛈 | I think I have an idea. | |
🛈 | Here, take Doc’s Notebook and show it to Seamus.
🛈 | It contains a lot of information that will hopefully act as an electroshock.
🛈 | Find the secret lab Little Outsider. I'm going back to the Bar to try to reestablish communication with the others.
🛈 | Remember, give the Notebook to Seamus in his flat. I'm sure we will find this weapon that his father was working on!
🛈 | I'm really struggling to get the connection back. Did you find anything interesting at Seamus'?
🛈 | Interesting device, but it looks broken. Maybe someone in the village can help you repair it? Did you ask at the Bar? | On show Broken Tracker |
🛈 | Jump on the boat when you are ready. Let's get out of here! | At the boat |
🛈 | I can't believe you found Doc and got the Defluxor! With this, now we can go find Zbaltazar. Let's go! | At the boat |
🛈 | I've never been this far out of the Slums. With you here, I'm not even scared.
🛈 | I don't see any way to open this gate. Can you take a look on the other side? | Off the boat, in the sewers |
🛈 | This place is creepy. | |
🛈 | This door is really old. I hope the mechanism is still functional.
🛈 | All this old machinery is broken now. I think we can only open it manually.
🛈 | Quick! Gnn... Jump below the door! It won't hold for long!
🛈 | Gnn... I can't go on with you but... Hmpf... I won't stop looking for a way.
🛈 | When you find Zbaltazar and Clementine, tell them I was brave. |
