The Control Room Area is the location in Chapter 12: Control Room. It includes Control Room itself, Control Room Subway station, Lounge and Exit. The window of the Control Room Area offers a view of the whole Walled City 99.
Background[]
Control Room Area was abandoned for many years, and its only inhabitants all this time were Helper-Bots who could not evolve in the same way as Companions, because they were programmed to look after the Control Room Area, and not to communicate with Humans and each other.
In the past, only certified engineers worked in the Control Room and were allowed to go to the Outside. They could control the operation of all the systems of the city, but during the plague they could not save any of the City residents, and they themselves died, leaving unconscious Helpers to take care of the Control Room Area.
Locations[]
- Control Room Subway station made it possible to get from the Control Room Area to the Midtown and back, but during the pandemic, the doors were sealed, preventing anyone from entering or leaving the Area.
- The Lounge was intended for guests of the Area and for Humans who remained in the Control Room, unable to leave it. There is a view of the city from there, several sofas, Man-Modified Trees and Vending Machines with human drinks.
- The Control Room is the main place from where the functioning of city is controlled. Anyone is forbidden to enter there, except Humans. From there they can control the opening of doors and of the city roof.
- The Exit is a hermetic door that separates the Control Room Area from The Outside. It is closed by a security protocol.
Trivia[]

- In the Control Room Area you can see Newspapers written in droid letters. Most likely, these newspapers continued to be delivered there by some sort of automatic delivery even after the death of all Humans.
- Control Room Area is designed by Maxim Dorokhov (Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, Set dressing, City view), Clara Perrissol (City view), Koola and Viv (Final postprocessing).
