Chapter 2: Dead City begins after cat was separated from his family and suddenly finds itself in a derelict underground place. At first, there is not much to do but to look for a way out from that sewer and to follow the signs. The cat may find some victims of the Zurks in the alleys, and the few lingering creatures will scurry away quickly.

• At some point, the players will reach a cutscene, where Cat is threatened by a larger group of Zurks. Follow the signs and avoid being hit by the creatures. Earn the Can't Cat-ch Me trophy by not being caught by one of the Zurks. See Dead City Zurk Run.

• Follow the signs and move to the rooftop and climb the scaffolding until Chapter 3: The Flat is reached.

Plot

After falling inside the city, the cat damages its paw and cannot walk for a while. After some time, B-12 opens the door from Inside the Wall to the Dead City, and the cat wakes up and goes there.

In a long-abandoned city where Humans and Companions used to live, he follows the flashes of signs that B-12 tells him the way on. In one of the alleys of a Dead City, a cat finds a half-dead Companion eaten by Zurks. At the exit of the alley, he meets even more Zurks that chase him through the streets of the city.

When the cat runs away from them, B-12, with the help of screens and signage, tells the cat the way to his apartment through roofs, construction sites, abandoned apartments and balconies. Finally, having overcome all obstacles, the cat gets there and Chapter 3: The Flat starts.
