Boxes are items found in the game Stray. They are used in Quests and as decorations.

There are five types of boxes in the game: push-off-shelves boxes, boxes that you can get into, flat boxes, stacked boxes and ordinary boxes.

Push-off-shelves boxes

B-12's Flat boxes

This type of boxes is used in puzzles, and dropping these boxes to the ground is necessary to complete the game. Such boxes can be found in a secret laboratory (Chapter 6: The Slums - Part 2), and in one of them lies a Broken Tracker.

In B-12 Flat of Chapter 3: The Flat, you need to drop a drone box from the shelf - this box has a unique texture, and you can read details about the drone on it.

In Midtown Bar, you need to drop a bottle crate on Stuplachee's head - it's not a box, but a similar mechanic is used there.

Boxes that you can get into

Neco box

All the boxes that a cat can get into are boxes with the logo of the Neco Corporation. They are used in Chapter 10: Midtown and Chapter 11: Jail as a shelter from the Sentinels, and in Chapter 10: Midtown as a way to get to the Neco corp factory and to the Hat shop, where the cat is carried in the box.

Flat boxes

Frat box

This is an ordinary cardboard box, not assembled, and is generally just a piece of cardboard. In the first chapter, the cat sleeps on it with his family.

Stacked boxes

Stacked boxes

Several ordinary boxes stacked on top of each other. The cat can jump on them, after which they will fall to the floor. There are such boxes in Zbaltazar's apartment, and in one of them you can find his notebook. Similar mechanics are used with books, for example, in a Library or in some apartments.

Socks box

The usual brown boxes can be seen in almost all chapters of the game. These are usually boxes labeled "socks", "men socks" or "made in France", "made in China". Some boxes are marked with both labels, like the box in the picture.

Despite the large number of sock boxes in the game, it seems like only Jauxi wears them.
