Birthing Pods or Zurk eggs are located in the Sewers and some locations of the Dead City. The Zurks hatch from these Birthing Pods, growing up there and hatching either by themselves or when someone gets close to the Pods.

Birthing Pods are made of the same substance as the Fleshy Walls, and grow near them. Small eggs do not pose a threat, but approaching the big ones, about 5-10 Zurks will hatch from there. Before that, it will turn red and begin to throb.
Eggs grow in small groups together, both on the floor and on the walls of buildings and ceilings, perhaps getting nutrition from the Fleshy Walls, and Zurks grow inside them until they hatch. The largest number of Birthing Pods is in the Sewers, where they grow in large quantities in the halls and corridors. Small eggs can also be found in the Dead City, Rooftops, Dead End.
